P1P2P3

11/10/2010

yes, it’s what you’ve all been waiting for: the film P1P2P3, starring Miguel Guido as P2!

This short film was shot in Santiago de Compostela in May 2009. When I got the script I didn’t understand it, but I assumed there were more scenes that would complete the story: there weren’t. I am still baffled by what this film means, and I don’t think the English subtitles help (I was not involved in translating them, by the way). So, I hope you’ll have a laugh at my expense with this video.

The Museum of Everything

09/10/2010

This is a sketch show by Marcus Brigstock, Dan Tetsel and Danny Robbins. It’s gone to 3 series (not sure if there are any more on the way) and it is based around a museum that, supposedly, has everything. I quite enjoyed it; there are some sketches that get repetitive, but it’s still quite amusing. I particularly like the two posh rugger-bugger types and Bagshot Grange. Worth a listen. If you like this, you’ll probably like Paperback Hell by Tetsel and Robbins.

What I’m reading

09/10/2010

I’m pretty certain no-one will read this, but just in case. I’m going to put up my thoughts on books I’m reading and my opinion of them. We will start with Wolfblade by Jennifer Fallon. I’m nearly at the end, so obviously it’s held my attention, but I get the feeling it’s too much “tell” and not enough “show”. Lots of people die, so that’s OK, but if we compare it to GRRM’s song of Ice and Fire, it pales in comparison. If you find it in a second hand shop, it’s worth a read. If not, I wouldn’t bother.
